Guidelines for Submission
1. For publication, the Journal accepts research and review articles.
2. The manuscript should be 7,000 words in length and typed in MS Word with a double column.
3. The manuscript should include an abstract of 150-300 words with at least ten keywords. The abstract and keywords are both required.
4. The tables and figures in the text should be properly titled and centred, and they should be in JPEG (300 dpi) or Tiff format. For the printed version of the journal, only black and white figures will be accepted. Images and tables that are strewn about are not acceptable.
5. Authors must obtain written permission from the relevant publishers before reproducing the Images/Figures/Tables. On the Editor's request, authors are expected to provide this written permission.
6. Images/Figures/Tables reproduced from other sources should be properly cited in the manuscript.
7. Endnotes: All notes should be indicated in the text by serial numbers, and detailed references should be provided as endnotes at the end of the document, following the corresponding numbers before the references. There will be no use of the footnote system. Endnotes are not required.
8. References: Following the endnotes, include a list of references. Only works cited or referred to in the main text should be cited in the reference list. The seventh edition of APA should be used for in-text citations and references.
9. Wherever possible, citations should include the DOI numbers in the references.
10. Contributors should accurately reproduce and obtain permission from copyright holders whenever they use copyrighted material, and this should be acknowledged in the article.
11. Every contribution should be accompanied by a declaration that the article is unique and has not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
12. All submitted articles will be subjected to double blind peer review. Acceptance of articles is contingent on the review panel's recommendation and subsequent approval by the Editor.
13. Every article that is accepted will be copy-edited. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make any necessary text revisions in accordance with the journal style sheet and standard.
14. A statement of author contribution should be included at the end of the manuscript.
15. Any conflicts of interest should be declared by the authors in the manuscript.
16. Funding information: Authors may include information about the funding/grant they received to carry out their research.
17. Correspondence: One author should be designated as the Corresponding author, and he or she will be the primary point of contact for the editorial team regarding any publication-related issues. Corresponding authors should obtain permission from co-authors for any publication-related matter.
18. Corresponding Before submitting a manuscript for publication, authors must obtain the permission of all co-authors.
19. When the article is accepted, the copyright form should be signed by all authors and submitted to the editorial office. If all authors agree, the corresponding author may sign on their behalf.
20. All authors must provide the name of their affiliated institution, location, and contact information, including an email address.
21. If an authorship change is required after a manuscript has been submitted, the Corresponding Author must email a copy of a signed letter to the Editor-in-Chief confirming that all original co-authors have been notified and agree to the change.
22. If the change involves the removal of a co-name, author's the Corresponding Author must obtain a signed consent letter from the co-author in inquiry and send it to the Editor via email.
23. After a manuscript has been accepted, no changes to the author list will be permitted.
24. All editorial correspondence should be sent to: The Editor-in-Chief, ARAI Journal of Mobility Technology, ARAI, Pune, Maharashtra, India.
How to submit manuscript: Submit your manuscript thru online using submission option. Submit the manuscript as per the instructions provided. Attach your entire manuscript as single Word file (including tables and figures). High-resolution figures should be submitted with each manuscript. After submitting your manuscript, you will receive an acknowledgement. We recommend you to read the about the journal page and the instruction to authors page before you submit.
Authors must first register with the journal before submitting, if they are already registered, they may simply log in and select their role as an Author, then select Submission and finish the five-step procedure.
Step 1:
- If the journal is multilingual, you will need to select your preferred language. If it is not, no language option will appear.
- If the journal charges submission fees, these will be presented to the author. If the journal does not charge submission fees, this section will not appear.
- Select a Journal Section that best fits with your submission.
- Next, the author must check each of the items from the submission checklist.
- The journal’s copyright policy will appear next, and, if configured as a requirement, the author will need to agree to this policy. If the journal has not added a Copyright Notice, this section will not appear.
- Authors can then review the Privacy Statement. If the journal has not added a Privacy Statement, this section will not appear.
- Finally, the author can add any comments, which will be visible to the editor.
- Move to the next step by hitting the Save and Continue button.
Step 2:
Submission Step Two allows you to upload the submission file, typically a word-processor document (e.g., Microsoft Word). On this page, click Choose File which opens a Choose File window for locating the file on the hard drive of your computer.
- Locate the file you wish to submit and highlight it.
- Click Open on the Choose File window, which places the name of the file on this page.
- Click Upload on this page, which uploads the file from the computer to the journal’s web site and renames it following the journal’s conventions.
- Once the submission is uploaded, click Save and Continue at the bottom of this page.
Step 3:
The third step of the submission process serves to collect all relevant metadata from the author.
- The first section of metadata covers the authors. The submitting author will have their personal information automatically appear.
- Any additional information, such as Competing Interests should also be added at this time, if required.
- If there are multiple authors for the submission, their information can be added using the Add Author button. You can also re-order the list of authors, make one of the authors the principal contact with the editor, and delete any authors added in error.
- Next, enter the submission title and abstract.
- You will then add indexing information. This will help others find your article.
- The next section allows you to enter the name of any organization that may have supported your research.
- Depending on how the journal is configured, you may find an option to provide your list of references separately. This will allow the journal’s Editors and Copyeditors to check your references using a Citation Markup Assistant. You should provide your list with each reference on a separate line.
- Hit the Save and Continue button to move on to Step 4.
Step 4:
This step is optional. If you have any supplementary files, such as research instruments, data sets, etc., you may add them here. These files are also indexed by the author, identifying their relation to the submission, as well as their ownership. Supplementary Files can be uploaded in any file format and will be made available to readers in their original format.

- Click Upload on this page, which uploads the file from the computer to the journal’s web site and renames it following the journal’s conventions.
- You must now enter a title for the supplementary file, and optionally, any additional descriptive information.
- Once the submission is uploaded, click Save and Continue.
Step 5:
This final step provides a summary of your submission.
- If the journal charges submission or publication fees, your required payment will also be detailed here. If you paid previously, use the checkbox to indicate that you have. If you require a fee waiver to be considered, check that box and provide an explanation (required). But for two years ARAI is not charging for Paper processing charges i.e., 31-3-2023
Click Finish Submission to submit your manuscript. You will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view your submission’s progress through the review and editorial process by returning to the Active Submissions section of your Author page.
A scanned copy of the Copyright Form signed by the correspondent author and ALL co-authors should be submitted along with the manuscript. A PDF copy of the Copyright Form is available online. Submission of a manuscript represent an assurance that the paper has received the author's institutional permissions, if any, has not been copyrighted, published, or accepted for publication elsewhere, is not currently being considered for publication in other journals, and will not be submitted to any other journal while under review and consideration by the ARAI Journal of Mobility Technology.
Authors should check their Spam and Junk folders for any missing emails from the editor.
